The June Ends

~ by Aaditya

~Seeking happiness of evasive spring

With the warmth of winter June

Over the reflection of ripples

Floats the cinnamon

The days of summer how easily bring

The shine of late winter's moon

How the cinnamon branch cripples

With the thought of someone

The nightingale may get weak enough to sing

The glory of a fake cocoon

It seemed ephemeral and fickle

What was rolled, in cinnamon!~

Tips to write a Rimas Dissolutas:

1. Although there is no rule that says so, but it is better if the lines are kept not too long. This is because when corresponding lines of two stanzas will rhyme, it will be distinct to recall the previous rhyme, hence keep the flow.

2. You can freely choose a syllable count but keep it almost consistent throughout!

3. The poem can be ended with an envoi (a 2-3 liner ending) but it should continue with rhyme scheme for c, d and e.

Keep writing, and soon pen down a "Rimas Dissolutas"!
