The word palindrome comes from the Greek word 'Palindromos' meaning running back again. It literally means a sequence of numbers , words or characters that read the same forwards and backwards.
For example, the word mom.
So palindrome in poetry refers to a poem that reads the same forwards and backwards.
A beautiful example is
Reflections
Life-
imitates nature, always moving, traveling continuously.
Falling leaves placed delicately;
foliage touching the echoing waters,
clarity removed -
Reflections distorted through waves rippling;
gracefully dancing
mirrored images
- reflect -
images mirrored.
Dancing gracefully,
rippling waves through distorted reflections -
removed clarity.
Waters echoing the touching foliage;
delicately placed leaves falling -
continuously traveling, moving always, nature imitates
life.

Tips to write a palindrome :
1. Firstly use this format to those subjects that would perfectly fit this form . For example in the above poem ,
reflection is the theme and hence palindrome effect adds beauty.
2. Every time you add a new word read the draft backwards to check if it suits.
3. Having a good flow is very important .
So come on folks write a poem from backwards and finish it where it begins!!!
