WHAT IS ECHO VERSE?
An echo verse is a style of poetry where the last parts of the lines imitate an echo. Popular in 16th century France, England and Italy, this style of poetry has made its way to fame and is commonly used by poets all over the world. It uses the literary device, repetition to create an echo-like sound.
FORMAT OF AN ECHO VERSE:
The format of an echo verse has simple requirements. The last syllable of each line has to be repeated. This can be done in two ways, either by writing the second word in the same line or in the next line. An example of the same is 'Something to talk about' by Robert Lee Brewer.
"Is there anything to know? No!Or a person to betray? Aman is doomed by other men; menfind solace in nothing; nothingleads to what no one can know. No,I'd rather find something something."
(by Robert Lee Brewer)
